Floating/Stacking Window Managers

Floating window managers a.k.a. stacking window managers are the most commonly used window managers. They are used by default in Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and most major Linux distributions. Floating/Stacking window managers allow windows to overlap each other. Windows in floating/stacking window managers float in a specific spot on screen. Typically designed to be used with both mouse & keyboard.
